How Technology Affects Behavioral Intention (Case Study Of Online Transportation In Indonesia And Thailand), Jono M. Munandar, Ribka Cynthia F. Munthe

Research Aims: Using two countries as the object, this study aims to analyze the influence of technology readiness towards favorableness on online transportation consumers in Indonesia and Thailand. Design/methodology/approach: Empirical evidence for the research was derived from a survey that collected data from 500 students in Indonesia and Thailand, analyzed using Logit Biner method with the help of software SPSS. Research Findings: The result of this study shows that there were two hypotheses accepted, H1 (optimism influences favorableness) and H3 (insecurity has an effect on favorableness), while other hypotheses (H2 and H4) are not significant. Although there has been an increase in Performance Management (PM) literature over the years arguing that PM perceptions are likely to be a function of PM process components and contextual factors, the actual relationship between the contextual factors and employee satisfaction of PM remains little explored. Extending previous research, this study examines relationships between contextual factors and employees’ PM satisfaction. Derived from the literature, these contextual factors are motivation and empowerment of employees, role conflict, role ambiguity, perceived organisational support, procedural justice and distributive justice. Collaborative efforts, economies of time and cost, competitive service quality, and technological flexibility are among the key concerns of operations for successful supply chains. Implementation of web-based technologies has contributred significantly towards the achievement of such objectives of supply chains. The presents study examines the various aspects of e-business technologies adoption with reference to the first-tier suppliers associated with the automotive supply chains in Thailand.
