This analysis for this study was undertaken to determine if Hughson Nuts’ Marketing Strategies were effective in India and China. The study was also to assess Hughson Nut’s marketing mix internationally to China and India, to evaluate the marketing mix based on projection and comparisons, to assess potential improvements of the marketing mix, and to determine how Hughson Nuts sales to India and China compared to the rest of states sales. Splitting loads such that the delivery of certain loads is completed in multiple trips rather than one trip has show to have benefit for both the classic Vehicle Routing Problem and the Pickup and Delivery Problem. However, the magnitude of the benefit may be affected by various problem characteristics. In this paper, we characterize those real world environments in which split loads are most likely to be beneficial. Project portfolio management, the equivalent of financial portfolio management but focused on R&D projects rather than financial assets, often relies on decision analysis methods to value projects rather than traditional financial valuation methods such as net present value (NPV). In finance, the idea of managing portfolios of assets goes back a long time, with the first formal methods being developed in the 1950s. Simply put, assembling a portfolio of stocks, bonds, and other financial instruments balances the risk a manager is taking with any one of the investments. Mandates aside, there are many reasons why firms decide to move forward with or delay investment in RFID technology. In this paper we use a theoretically based, easy to implement methodology to empirically derive a relative importance scale of those factors that influence the decision to invest in RFID technology. More specifically, we compare the factors that matter most and least to a sample of firms that have adopted RFID technology with a sample of firms that have yet to embrace RFID technology. Location awareness, the ability to determine geographical position, is an emerging technology with both significant benefits and important privacy implications for users of mobile devices such as cell phones and PDAs. Location is determined either internally by a device or externally by systems and networks with which the device interacts, and the resultant location information may be stored, used, and disclosed under various conditions that are described. RFID technology is defined as a wireless automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) technology and is considered as “the next big thing” in the management and “the next revolution in supply chain”. Recently, the topic has attracted the interest of the industrial community as well as the scientific community. Following this tendency, this paper applies an Information Systems Design Theory (ISDT) for an RFID-based University Laboratory. For practitioners, the paper provides some insights into the set-up and use of RFID laboratory in university settings, and at the same time, it offers a set of hypotheses that can be empirically tested.

Transformational leadership is an organizational leadership theory centered around "the ability to inspire and motivate followers to achieve results greater than originally planned and for internal reward" The investigation into transformational leadership began in the mid-1980s with a number of influential publications by Bass (1985), Bennis and Nanus (1985), Kouzes and Posner (1987) and Tichy and Devanna (1986). In the 1980s, the study of transformational leadership was focused on case-based research (Conger, 1999). By late 1990s, a substantial body of empirical investigations on transformational leadership had been conducted.

Der Beitrag präsentiert das Geschäftsmodell des Schweizer Zentrums für Telemedizin MEDGATE, eines europaweit führenden Telemedizin-Anbieters mit 2,6 Mio. Mitgliedern (Endkunden, denen die Leistungen von Medgate zur Verfügung stehen) und bis zu 1.600 Telekonsultationen täglich. Enterprizes need Data Quality Management (DQM) to respond to strategic and operational challenges demanding high-quality corporate data. Hitherto, companies have mostly assigned accountabilities for DQM to Information Technology (IT) departments. They have thereby neglected the organizational issues critical to successful DQM. With data governance, however, companies may implement corporate-wide accountabilities for DQM that encompass professionals from business and IT departments. Prior to undertaking the implementation of an integrated finance and procurement information system, the Southern Health Board (now know as the Health Service Executive - Southern Area) undertook a Business Process Reengineering project to redesign, standardise, streamline, and document their procurement processes. This study examines how useful Business Process Reengineering can be in a public sector environment, using the project undertaken in the Southern Health Board, as a case study. Curriculum research in business schools points out that operations management (OM) is one of the more challenging courses to teach. Instructors have always struggled to enhance the student learning experience in OM courses. This article illustrates the development and utilisation of detailed online quizzes in a core OM undergraduate course and demonstrates its potential to achieve higher levels of student learning by mapping the quiz questions to the Bloom's taxonomy. The authors' argue that such quizzes lead to enhanced student performance and a more fulfilling course experience. This paper explores how technology can overcome the negative influences of cultural and demographical differences on classroom participation. The authors propose a theoretically-based, pedagogical paradigm which illustrates how barriers erected by cultural and demographic differences in the classroom can be overcome by utilizing advanced information technology. Finally the influences of classroom participation on various learning objectives are reviewed, propositions are derived from the model, and future research directions are discussed.
