Employee turnover costs billions of dollars for companies every year, and it has been increasing over the years. Multiple studies have explored the different antecedents that affect turnover intentions. However, there has been little focus on the effects of training opportunities on turnover intentions. This study examines the impacts of training opportunity on job satisfaction and turnover intention among the generation X and generation Y cohorts in the United States. A total of 252 respondents completed questionnaires that assessed the internal elements of the model among Amazon mturk workers. Effects Of The Dimensions Of Quality Of Work Life On Turnover Intention Of Millennial Employees In The U.S., Julie Lewis

Voluntary employee turnover, or quitting jobs, in the U.S. has been steadily increasing since 2009. This study investigated the relationships among the dimensions of quality of work life (QWL), job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention among millennial employees in the U.S. It sought to determine whether statistically significant relationships existed among these variables. The study tested a model of the relationships among the aforementioned constructs using structural equation modeling with the IBM® SPSS® Amos 25.0 (SPSS) software package.

The Affordable Care Act has created within health care a growing demand for primary care services in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The anticipated growth in need for registered nurses (RN) of 19% by 2020 is compounded by a current estimated national turnover rate greater than 17%. Human Resource Development (HRD) practitioners in health care are challenged to develop and implement interventions that can influence turnover in RNs despite identifying variables that effect turnover.
