Our paper simulates the likely effects of a comparable-worth wage-adjustment policy in the state and local sector on female employment in the sector. The simulation is based on estimates of within-occupation male/female substitution and across-occupation occupational employment substitution that we obtain using data from the 1980 Census of Population.

This meta-analysis examines the relationship between workaholism and numerous work behaviors and outcomes in an attempt to a) derive a consensus regarding the current state of our understanding of this construct, and b) clarify the impact that the compulsion to work may have on an individual's life. Overall, based on data from 44 studies, results indicate that there is a considerable amount of variability between workaholism and work-related outcomes. Specifically, the two most established and reputable measures of workaholism, the Work Addiction Risk Test (WART) and the Workaholism Battery (WorkBat), appear to focus on uniquely different aspects of workaholism and …

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie różnych ujęć klasyfikowania barier zarządzania wiedzą, ze szczególnym wskazaniem procesu identyfikowania barier z wykorzystaniem morfologii pola problemowego oraz metody delfickiej. Oba podejścia mogą zaowocować rozpoznaniem zbioru barier, adekwatnych do warunków funkcjonowania danej organizacji. Na podstawie przeglądu badań poszukiwano konsensusu w klasyfikowaniu barier zarządzania wiedzą w przedsiębiorstwie. Główny podział kształtuje się w oparciu o wewnętrzny (kontrolowany), bądź zewnętrzny (ograniczony stopień kontroli) charakter tych barier i określenie wpływu ich oddziaływania zarówno na przedsiębiorstwo, jak i pracowników.
