The objective of this paper is to explain the causal relationship between the impact of COVID-19 on the aviation sector and the policies initiated by the aviation authority such as the International Air Transport Authority (IATA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA). COVID-19 affected every sector of the business world, and obviously, the aviation sector was not out of its effects.
