The pervasive influence of technology has revolutionised numerous sectors across the globe, underscoring the need for a comprehensive evaluation of the tools that technology has engendered. Artificial Intelligence (AI), as a prominent technological tool, has exceeded expectations and proven immensely beneficial to humanity. Consequently, it is imperative to scrutinise the ethical and regulatory frameworks governing its application. This paper employs a doctrinal methodology to analyse the regulatory landscape and ethical guidelines surrounding AI technology in Nigeria and some selected jurisdictions. We discuss its background and foundations, significance in Asia and contribution to removal of historical barriers in traditional business. This paper presents an approach for measuring emerging technologies in the context of mature industries. In particular, this article focuses on vaccine-related research. Although vaccines comprise an established industry, new developments in biotechnology have led to emerging area in vaccine R&D, including therapeutic vaccines; subunit and DNA-based vaccines; advances in vaccine delivery; and new methodologies for vaccine design, manufacturing, and testing. Managers charged with assessing investment opportunities for information technologies such as e-business projects face considerable uncertainty in their decision-making processes. Contemporary theories of the firm and the normative prescriptions thereof emphasize the potential for such investments to augment firm-level knowledge and relational capabilities. However, prior research has not examined the relative emphases that managers place on the knowledge and relational capability-augmenting characteristics of the e-business investments.
