The purposes of the study were (1) to determine the relative merits of selected classroom practices in the teaching of bookkeeping as evaluated by teachers in terms of experience if they had used the practice, or in terms of opinion if they had not used the practice; and (2) to obtain from teachers their reasons for believing a practice is good or not good.

The adaptability of the Bonds to new lines of business, changes in the economic balance of their interests, and their conservative yet bold and forward looking policies suggest a background somewhat more sophisticated in tone than that which is usually associated with an agrarian heritage, but it was doubtless the simple farm influences that developed the eventual character of these brothers who both by statement and conduct exemplified a set of moral, business, social and ethical standards that were and have been rarely equaled.

A Pilot Study Of The Nature Of Learning Experiences In The Operating Room, Lucile Lewis

It was the purpose of this study to consider four phases of the nature of the learning experiences of students of nursing in the operating room. The phases of the problem studied were: (1) Are the learning experiences "new" or "an expansion and/or clarification of previous learnings?" (2) Do new learning experiences continue throughout the clinical assignment to the operating room? (3) Are the learning experiences concentrated in some areas of learning more than in others? (4) Is there a relationship between the area of learning and the type of duty performed by the student in the operating room?
