Company employees often see an organizational engagement breakdown when managers do not combine processes and knowledge transfer strategies to achieve goals. Some midlevel managers lose communication and collaboration among business departments as well as with their subordinates, leading to a breakdown in organizational performance. The purpose of this qualitative single case study was to explore organizational engagement strategies midlevel managers use to encourage organizational performance. Factors of employee retention have been widely researched and examined. However, research on factors of retention in relation to youth-serving NPOs was limited. Turnover was an issue that many organizations face, but the impacts and implications of turnover for youth-serving nonprofits may be greater. The purpose of this qualitative multiple case study was to describe design thinking experts’ views on how manufacturing SME leaders may successfully drive design thinking within their firm as an innovation strategy to support business sustainability and competitive advantage. Internal branding (IB) evolved from marketing to engage employees in a company's strategic planning. IB has been studied extensively in the hospitality industry, but not with human resource (HR) departments. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to assess the effectiveness of corporate training designs in instilling IB corporate values in global employees of a multinational hotel chain to determine whether European core values could be transferred across different cultural backgrounds.
