The pervasive influence of technology has revolutionised numerous sectors across the globe, underscoring the need for a comprehensive evaluation of the tools that technology has engendered. Artificial Intelligence (AI), as a prominent technological tool, has exceeded expectations and proven immensely beneficial to humanity. Consequently, it is imperative to scrutinise the ethical and regulatory frameworks governing its application. This paper employs a doctrinal methodology to analyse the regulatory landscape and ethical guidelines surrounding AI technology in Nigeria and some selected jurisdictions. The Role Of Educational Technology In Design And Delivery Of Curricula Programmes: A Case Of Steps At A University Of Technology, Patient Rambe Dr

The African Journal of Information Systems

While Universities of Technologies (UoTs) regard the adoption of educational technology for the creation of effective learning environments as one of their defining features, there is limited research on these universities’ innovative use of technologies to transform their curricula design and delivery. This research explores the extent to which educational technology has been integrated into the implementation of new and recurriculated educational programmes under the Strategic Transformation of Educational Programmes and Structures (STEPS) at a UoT. The African Journal of Information Systems

The rapid development and release of emerging technologies have made their adoption challenging. Most often there are failing issues in organizational adoption of emerging technologies. It is yet unclear which component(s) of organization play the prominent role(s) in organizational readiness to adopt emerging technologies. Managerial Assessments Of E-Business Investment Opportunities: A Field Study, Anandhi S. Bharadwaj, Amrit Tiwana

Research Collection School Of Computing and Information Systems

Managers charged with assessing investment opportunities for information technologies such as e-business projects face considerable uncertainty in their decision-making processes. Contemporary theories of the firm and the normative prescriptions thereof emphasize the potential for such investments to augment firm-level knowledge and relational capabilities. However, prior research has not examined the relative emphases that managers place on the knowledge and relational capability-augmenting characteristics of the e-business investments. In this paper, we develop a model to assess whether managerial evaluations of e-business investment opportunities are consistent with these normative and theoretical prescriptions. A test of the model using survey data on 485 …
