Modelling a dataset of 5230 globally listed firms through two statistical approaches reflecting the primary principles of Natural-Resource-Based Theory and Institutional Theory, respectively, this study provides evidence that sustainability initiatives developed by firms are being rewarded in the form of improved Corporate Financial Performance (CFP). Culture has a significant influence on both firm sustainability performance, captured in ESG ratings, and CFP and also interacts with other variables, including industry sector and socio-economic development of a firm’s markets. Exploring Entrepreneurial Intention And Subjective Beliefs: A Comparative Analysis Of General Education Schools And Commercial Schools, Julia Riess, Bettina Fuhrmann, Gerhard Geissler

This study examines the entrepreneurial intentions of Austrian secondary school students, specifically comparing students from commercial schools with those from general education schools. We analyzed 2,329 data sets and found that subjective beliefs, primarily behavioral and control beliefs, significantly influence entrepreneurial intentions. In addition, demographic factors such as gender, language, acquaintance with entrepreneurs, and school type play a significant role in explaining the variance in entrepreneurial intentions.

Our detailed analysis shows that students from commercial schools have stronger entrepreneurial intentions and subjective beliefs. Particularly notable are the differences in behavioral beliefs, where students from commercial schools find all aspects of …

Despite being one of the world’s primary producers, Indonesia faces challenges in increasing mango exports. The government has been promoting mango exports to boost economic growth in the agricultural sector. The purpose of this study is to identify opportunities and challenges that are associated with increasing mango exports from Indonesia. We conducted a qualitative assessment through in-depth interviews with 20 Indonesian mango exporters and government officials, to identify opportunities and challenges associated with increasing mango exports from Indonesia. In this article, I address two recurring tendencies that I heard during a recent period of research on banking secrecy in Luxembourg. First, my banker interviewees frequently mentioned personal transgressions for why many of their clients hide assets “offshore.” The wrongdoings my interlocutors cited included not only clients’ tax evasion, bankruptcy, and avoidance of liability – but also divorce, adultery, and the existence of out-of-wedlock children. This paper presents the results of a manufacturer’s quest to identify a measuring strategy during process development. Standard Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) criteria provide a common framework to evaluate a gauge’s ability to produce data that fairly represents the quality characteristics that describe a part’s fitness for use. Here, MSA criteria, as well as hypothesis tests of precision and bias, are used to compare to two alternative measurement systems. Ultimately, to compare the two systems, measures of MSA criteria are developed that reflect the potential the criteria could reach by eliminating operator-to-operator gauge error.

In re Vitamin C Antitrust Litigation, recently decided by the Second Circuit, sets a grave precedent for American plaintiffs seeking redress for antitrust injuries wrought by foreign defendants. The case involved a group of Chinese manufacturers and exporters of vitamin C, who conspired to fix prices and restrict output in the export market, injuring American consumers in import commerce. Research Aims: This study investigates the mediating role of functional conflict in explaining the effect of market orientation on the absorptive capacity of small and medium enterprises (SME) exporters in emerging markets.

Design/Methodology/Approach: The data were successfully collected from 124 respondents and tested using structural equation modelling via Smart-PLS.

Research Findings: The results support the notion that responsive market orientation and proactive market orientation positively influence absorptive capacity. In addition, functional conflicts serve as a quasi-mediator in the relationship between responsive market orientation and absorptive capacity.
