Underrepresentation is a significant issue for Black female nurses to secure nurse leadership positions in healthcare facilities. Leadership by Black female nurses is needed to provide culturally appropriate quality of care, to have a more diverse workplace, and to ensure that the needs of diverse patient populations are met.
