The present text aims at theoretically approximating Hannah Arendt’s reflections and the thought of Jean-Luc Nancy and Roberto Esposito, authors who have pro- posed a radical interrogation concerning being-in-common and its constitutive plu- rality. From Arendt we priorize the discussion of her concepts of action, speech, performance, freedom, plurality and singularity. From Esposito and Nancy, we emphacize their common criticisms against conceiving the community as a given subsistent reality, as well as their critiques against defining being-in-common by way of notions such as identity and subjectivity.
