The legacy left by Percy Grainger is that not only of his innovative compositional styles, but also that of his role as a “music-activator in a changing world.” By diligently seeking out, listening to, and recording the songs of often forgotten folksingers, Grainger gave a voice to those who society failed to acknowledge.
