Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Papers

I present this statement under three loose categories: People, Objects and their Environment. I consider People as human, Objects as art objects, domestic objects, and food, and Environment as the shared space of the former groups. A Work In Progress, David Gruber

Creative Writing Minor Portfolios

Each piece of writing originated from my musings and experiences during my college career. I write humor pieces not only to poke fun at things, but also to help understand the world around me and the experiences I have. A Former Liar Armed With Truth And Aiming For Greatness, Jonathan Gallardo

Creative Writing Minor Portfolios

This portfolio is a collection of my favorite works of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry that I wrote during my final four semesters at Cedarville University. “Cicadas at Lorelei” has been accepted for publication in The Merrimack Review, and “I Don’t Share My Grandfather’s Love for Mathematics” has been accepted for publication in *82 Review. This collection deals with my discovering the truth about Jonathan Gallardo and using that truth to create art. I present to you A Former Liar Armed with Truth and Aiming for Greatness.

The average college freshman cannot see how such a garbled mass of nothing can lead his instructors to a better understanding of his educational needs.

He walked into the room, hung his umbrella on the thermometer (on sunny days he used the umbrella as a walking stick) and turned methodically to the speaking stand. Then it came-laughter! laughter! The professor filed through his mind to determine if he "cracked" any of his jokes at the last meeting of the class. No, the last meeting was Thursday, second Thursday of the month. He always pulled his jokes on Tuesdays. Maybe it was the blackboard. Someone had written something on the blackboard, - something funny, maybe even about him. He turned to look at the board, but …
