Dylan has a diagnosis of ASD [Autism Spectrum Disorder]. This impacts his ability to communicate - he is (mostly) non-verbal, and as a result this affects his learning and emotional development. Dylan will likely require support throughout his life. Nonetheless, he is physically fit and active, loving and good humoured.

His love of the outdoors inspires his artistic practice, and he attends regular classes and workshops at Project Ability - a Glasgow-based visual arts organisation which creates artistic opportunities for people of all ages with disabilities and people with lived experience of mental ill-health.

This work explores aspects of Queer identity, historical reflection, and acceptance through painting, printmaking, and collage. Savannah Fleming's artwork intends to reclaim art history and alter it to include those excluded from its canon. Through the use of prints, paint, and collage, they create works that address the bias of art history, while tackling contemporary problems of identity and acceptance. References and alterations to art history are her way of addressing the erasure of Queer and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) from the art historical canon, while battling with modern-day confines on individuality.

This contribution proposes Lumumba’s iconography as a case in point of the interstice between art and history. It positions the image of Lumumba as mediating between past, present and future for both the Congo and the Global South more broadly.

In this descriptive article, research connecting art therapy and neuroscience has been collected and a workshop on Intuitive Painting has been described in detail. We tend to think of documents as things that provide answers, but documents can also provoke questions. This can be seen clearly in the study of art-making as document work, since the power of art is not in how it can represent reality, but how it can pose questions to reality. In this paper, I examine the work of 19th-century artist Paul Gauguin, which proceeded through iterative abstraction and productive reproduction. Gauguin's document work was a mode of questioning with the epistemic and communicative aim of understanding.
