Dr. John E. Dolin (1931-2015) was a Professor Emeritus of Art at Marshall University. Dr. Dolin's collection is made up of a variety of materials. The majority of this collection contains faculty and student correspondence, academic papers (both his and his students), and numerous class materials such as lecture notes, syllabi, and tests. Other materials in the collection relate to various organizations that he was involved in while at Marshall University including, Boys Club and The College Personnel Committee. This collection consists of a pencil sketch of a bearded man in a suit and hat pasted on the inside of a scrapbook cover. The sketch has a note that states, “Sketch by Professor E. W. Meyers. Marshall College Huntington West Virginia – 1928”. Also included is a 2008 letter from the donor stating the provenance of the item.

This collection consists of correspondence, photographs, a scrapbook, clippings, and ephemera related to Marion Vest Fors' murals which were painted in the James E. Morrow Library as part of the centennial celebration of Marshall College. The murals were removed for remodeling circa 1966 and remounted in 2005. The scrapbook was created by Fors about her creation of the mural to justify its emergence from storage and reuse in the Morrow Library. Also included in the collection are paintbrushes used in the painting of the murals.
