It Is What It Is, Richard Kraft, Special Collections, Fleet Library
Artists' Books
5 volumes : chiefly color illustrations,. "On inauguration day January 20, 2017, artist Richard Kraft began issuing Donald Trump colored cards, just as a soccer referee penalizes players who transgress the rules and code of conduct. For four years, Kraft scoured the news and Trump's Twitter feed every day, notating and assigning each of Trump's transgressions a colored penalty card (at first, yellow and red, as in soccer--and then Kraft devised magenta, purple, and crimson for ever-escalating offenses). Kraft issued almost 10,000 cards to Trump, half of them in 2020. In this set of five artist's books, totaling over 1600 …

Distance Learning Faculty & Staff Books
As an instructional designer and technologist, my goal with this book is remarkably simple, to consolidate and create a job aid for a complex and often frustrating/misunderstood quest. Rather than hunting all over the Internet, the map, tips, and information about the game are all gathered and summarized here. Also, rather than being an obscure Easter Egg in Amazon (like an Earnest Cline/James Halliday egg, especially on the hidden Pacman arcade game), I want to make this guide easier to find. Along with the nostalgia, classic video games and the technology and applied message design behind their creation are fascinating, …

Dogs In Police Work, Jackson Morley
Dogs In Police Work, Jackson Morley
Fall Student Research Symposium 2020
This research project discusses canines and their involvement in police work. Why do we not have more police dogs? K-9 units are very effective and helpful, but there are also several drawbacks. Police dogs are extremely expensive, they also can be used as an abuse of power, having too many canine units also can be unnecessary for every event of police work. Having police dogs as a specialty unit in a specific region would be effective though.

Object Of Sublimity, Light: Particle And Phenomenon., Rachel Hancey
Fall Student Research Symposium 2020
This artwork visually explores how we experience light in the context of space and material through a series of screen prints created in part with funding from the Undergraduate Research and Creative Opportunities Grant. Preliminary research involved studying the works of the 1960's West Coast Light and Space Artists and the movement's subsequent evolution to the present-day, the interconnected phenomenology of light and space, as well as the existing and developing philosophies of aesthetics most specifically related to the Sublime in a contemporary context. The goal of this project is not to create work similar in appearance to that of …

Open Teaching Tools
Understanding a discipline requires a fundamental understanding of its concepts, theories, and terminology. Critical to academic success, these are often assumed to be widely understood by students.
The students of Graphic Design V, fall 2020, created a poster to help students understand one of the ACRL Framework’s concepts, searching as strategic exploration. The bold, eye-catching informational poster, used both in and outside of the Library, promotes learning through an innovative design created by students for students.

Neorrealismo Y Cine En Cuba: Historia Y Discurso En Torno A La Primera Polémica De La Revolución, 1951–1962, Anastasia Valecce
Purdue Studies in Romance Literatures
