Tia Ana’s Sustainable Development is located in the El Salvadorian countryside, just outside of the capital city San Salvador. Currently, Tia Ana’s is located in the city of San Salvador, where there is little room for the children and a significant amount of violence and instability. In order to make the relocation of the orphanage feasible financially, a portion of the countryside landscape will contain a small hotel and numerous small dwellings nested in the tropical surroundings. This project goal is to build a Leadership Vocational School for youth, women, differently abled, and local leaders of rural and Kathmandu Nepal. The client for this project is an organization called Sakcham Rural Nepal and they partnered with a humanitarian organization called Journeyman International to find Architecture and Architectural Engineering students to design a safe, attractive and functional building to fit their needs.
