Evaluating Planning And Management Of Natural Resources Within The Utah State Park System, Erin K. Mann

All Graduate Theses and Dissertations, Spring 1920 to Summer 2023

A change in management style, combined with increased visitation and the advanced age of guiding documents used to describe conditions and goals (known as Resource Management Plans) in Utah’s State Parks, are leading park managers to potentially not fulfill the objectives stated in their Resource Management Plans. Sustainable Communities Capacity Building

Natural disasters can cause loss of life, inflict damage to buildings and infrastructure, and have devastating consequences for a community’s economic, social, and environmental well-being. Hazard mitigation means reducing damages from disasters.

Local governments have the responsibility to protect the health, safety, and welfare of their citizens. Proactive mitigation policies and actions help reduce risk and create safer, more disaster-resilient communities. Mitigation is an investment in your community’s future safety, equity, and sustainability.

(Borromini) The sketchbook continues to be important for the parti in the design process in architecture. The computer is an important tool in the development and execution of the design, and can also be important in the parti, for example when forms are generated from number sequences, but certain functions of the sketchbook cannot be replaced by the computer. The sketch can more completely represent the relation between the human mind, thought and psyche, and the architectural design. The best example of this is the quality of palimpsest in the sketchbook, where layers of forms and ideas …

Museums are one of the primary cultural icons of the city. As such, they embody ideas not only about history, art, or nature, but also about place. A great museum develops from ideas about its place. Our proposal for Guangdong Museum (New) is "The Box of Changes." It evolves from two ideas about place: place as real artifact-the site- and place as a cultural idea-the I Ching.

Plan Distrito Metropolitano. Quito Actual Fase 1.
