This research seeks to understand the effectiveness of the There is no Poop Fairy campaign through a public survey of dog owners. The There Is No Poop Fairy campaign was initiated in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 2014, with the goal of getting dog owners to pick up and properly dispose of their dogs’ waste. The Rio Grande is contaminated with E. coli bacteria that originates in part from dog waste, which is carried to the river through storm water. Levels of E. coli in the Rio Grande have decreased dramatically within the past few years, coincident with the campaign. The …

The Pump Station was built in the early 1930's by the City of Albuquerque as a building to house the pump equipment for the large water reservoir. Urban agriculture has become a symbol of Philadelphia’s economic revitalization, sustainability, and increasingly, its gentrification. In November 2016, the Ontario government tabled Bill 68, Modernizing Ontario’s Municipal Legislation Act. This bill, if passed, will introduce a series of reforms to the Municipal Act and the Planning Act which outline the legislative, administrative, and financial responsibilities of Ontarian municipalities. There are 3 major provisions proposed in this Bill. First, municipalities will be required to have a policy pertaining to protection and enhancement of their tree canopy and natural vegetation. The main objective of this study is to examine the development of rural areas to more urbanized ones within Kentucky. Landsat images were used to show the urban land cover change over a 10 year span, from 2001 to 2011. The study shows specifically how the city of Louisville has expanded because it was one of the most changed cities in Kentucky during the period of the study. Maps were created from these Landsat images. Studying these developments can help to predict the amount of change that might happen in certain areas in the future. It will delineate the campus "community" partnership and the empowerment process initiated by the multicultural student organizations that led to the preliminary building design and fundraising strategies by the University. It will also address how multiple communities in a university can engage in a creative, collaborative process that not only fosters inclusion but also student learning.
