The new coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has been destructive to human life and has resulted in a significant number of deaths globally. Detecting COVID-19 as early as possible is a critical way to prohibit the virus from quickly passing among people. RT-PCR is a method used for COVID-19 detection, but it is very expensive and isn’t an accurate method due to its sensitivity of 60–70%. For these reasons, deep learning and imaging techniques are combined by doctors, scientific experts, and professionals for accurate and rapid COVID-19 detection. In this work, we propose a stacked ensemble model based on Linear Regression …

Power Allocation Stable Matching User Pairing (Smup) In Noma With Swipt, Bassem M. Saleh, Ahmed Elnakib, Sherif Kishk, Mohamed M. Ashour

Mansoura Engineering Journal

Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is a potentially spectral efficient approach for beyond-fifth-generation wireless networks. This paper investigates the joint user pairing, and power allocation problem in a cooperative-NOMA (CNOMA) with simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) capabilities. The purpose of this work is to enhance the sum-rate of users with poor channel conditions while guaranteeing residual energy for paired users with good channel conditions as compensation for their cooperation. To overcome this challenge, we divided it into two parts: power allocation (PA) and user pairing (UP). The particle swarm-optimization (PSO) method is utilized to address the PA issue, whereas …

Searchable encryption techniques are intelligent tools that attempt to solve the challenge of querying stored data on untrusted cloud servers while preserving data confidentiality. This paper proposes simple, powerful, and practical Searchable Symmetric Encryption (SSE) scheme which capable of executing SQL (Structural Query Language) queries over encrypted cloud databases. Our scheme improves the efficiency of the search over encrypted data by using the SCKHA (Symmetric Cipher based on Key Hashing Algorithm) algorithm instead of using the bloom filter technique which causes the problem of the false positives. We built a complicated index structure for the encrypted data by combining the …

Mansoura Engineering Journal

A proposed design of graphene-based hybrid plasmonic waveguide is presented to improve the propagation length with a good confinement. The suggested design has multilayers of SiO2–graphene/ SiO2– GaAs – graphene/ SiO2. The full vectorial finite element method (FVFEM) is used to study the effective index (neff), propagation length (Lp), and normalized effective mode area (Aeff) of the supported hybrid plasmonic modes. In this investigation, the structure geometrical parameters are studied to achieve an ultra-small effective mode area with low propagation loss. The numerical results show that long propagation length of 138 µm at frequency of 3THz is achieved with normalized …

Positioning of pedestrians is a challenging problem. Especially, in case of global positioning system (GPS) signal outage inside buildings. The inertial navigation system (INS) systems are always used to detect the motion of the human body by placing inertial measurement unit (IMU) in a specific part of the human body. However, using IMU alone will not produce proper navigation solution with sufficient accuracy due to gradually accumulated errors of IMU stochastic drift, noise, and state integration with time. Which lead the recent researchers to enhance the performance of indoor navigation systems using aiding sources such as received signal strength (RSS) …
