At the same time, the retention rate of beginning teachers is 50% within the first five years. This low retention rate affects student achievement, building initiatives and districts' finances. The primary problem with this area is currently there is no single solution that encapsulates the entire process. The current commercially available tracking systems, such as SMS, DevTrack and Installshield Tracking system, do not provide a complete solution. These products provide partial solutions. This project addressed the problem of student engagement by giving teachers a set of laboratory lesson plans that can be preformed outdoors. These lessons let the instructor move his/her classroom outside to do experiment in the environment that they occur. Factors that lead American foreign language students to discontinue the study of the target language past the minimum requirement. This research project expanded on a study by Shedivy (2004) who investigated motivational factors for continuation of foreign language acquisition after the two-year minimum requirement during high school. Seffert's (2007) study sought reasons why students did not continue beyond the two-year minimum. The phenomenological inquiry was supported by literature on historic-political factors, motivational considerations, and educational strategies influencing students' interest in second language acquisition. This researcher examined the value of charter schools as viable alternatives to public schools and as schools of choice. A PowerPoint presentation was created in which the researcher analyzes the debate on schools of choice and the issuing authority for charter schools. Highlights of the research include discussions on the advantages of charter schools in relation to: a) students with learning disabilities, b) teachers in charter schools, and c) parental satisfaction. The researcher responds to the most frequently voiced arguments against charter schools and urges support for charter school legislation in states where charter schools are not operating.

That need is driven by the requirement to remotely monitor and support the sprawling network resources between campuses, provide real-time network status reports, and immediate reports of downed nodes. In this research project, the author presents an enrichment curriculum that will be implemented in the Denver Summerbridge 6 week summer school program. Denver public school students choose to attend this program because they are seeking academic enrichment during the summer. They seek enrichment from Denver Summerbridge because most supplementary programs at their home schools focus on closing the achievement gap and increasing standardized test scores, rather than offering a structured enrichment program for gifted students.
