The paper presents the results of an inventory of sources of air emissions from the city of Nowy Sacz (Poland) with regard to pollutant emissions from road transport, industrial processes, combustion plants and low-emissions from household furnaces. Particular attention has been devoted to assessing the impact of traffic on air quality in the city. Specified share of emissions from motor vehicles in the state of air pollution in the city center and its outskirts using the method of the atmospheric dispersion modeling.

This collection contains miscellaneous material related to the history of Little Rock, Arkansas. Most of the material deals with the development and historic preservation of the downtown area. There are also miscellaneous Arkansas newspapers covering Arkansas history, as well as World War II. The collection also includes a member list for the STOP Committee. This organization was formed during the "Lost Year" of 1958-1959 in which Little Rock public schools were closed in the wake of the desegregation crisis at Little Rock Central High School. The committee was formed as a counterweight to the segregationists.

Clear descriptions of job expertise are required to support applications and improvements in personnel training and job performance. This report describes a practical approach to task analysis that integrates the issues, content, and methods of cognitive science and personnel psychology. Cognitively oriented task analysis employs a breadth, then depth, strategy for identifying job expertise. Starting with a task-by-knowledge framework, job expertise is successively elaborated using interviews, expert ratings, and protocol analyses. The application of task analysis results to the development of written performance measures is described to illustrate the contributions of this approach to measurement validity. To better understand the social context of food and fiber production, more and more researchers are beginning to study the production of agricultural commodities as independent, dependent, and intervening variables. Typically, these commodity variables are measured in terms of separate crop or livestock products or by ad hoc indexes that summarize several commodities. To assess and better understand the spectrum of farm commodities examined in such research, this study uses North Carolina data from the U.S. Census of Agriculture to factor analyze various indicators of crop and livestock production and to determine any underlying, empirical dimensions. Hot and humid climates, such as those in Florida, pose unique challenges to architects and engineers seeking energy efficient office building designs. The severe impact of internal loads on cooling, the intense solar conditions and the need for increased ventilation set against high relative humidities, all serve to limit the success of many conventional methods of reducing building energy use. To provide a high-visibility demonstration of potential energy design solutions, the Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC) is building a state-of-the-art office complex for its new facility in Cocoa, Florida.
