The current study predicted that positive couple rituals would be positively associated with relationship satisfaction, commitment, and dyadic adjustment, whereas negative couple rituals were expected to exhibit a negative association with these outcome variables. Data for this study were collected online in 2009. Participants included undergraduate students from California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB), the University of Georgia (UGA), and the University of Connecticut (UNCONN).

The purpose of this study was to measure staff attitudes about sexual intimacy in the Veterans Home of California-Barstow (VHCB). Participants were twenty-seven VHCB staff members. The data collected was used for the purpose of understanding, and then formulating suggestions for implementing better institutional interventions and policy in the VHCB.

The purpose of this study is to explore the association between child sexual abuse and the effects on adult attachment style to romantic partners. Because the effects of abuse can be carried into adulthood, this study evaluates whether or not being sexually abused as a child has long lasting effects on attachment styles in adulthood. Participants in this study included male and female students from California State University, San Bernardino. Questionaires related to child sexual abuse and adult attachment style to a romantic partner were administered.

The purpose of this project is to bring parental awareness to the subject matter, expand their knowledge base, and increase the parenting skill set related to childhood sexual development. The goal of this project is to shed light on childhood sexual development in service of best practice parenting, ultimately leading to optimal child outcomes. Providing parents with the knowledge to foster the healthy sexual development of their children is the ultimate goal. Despite the ability of evolutionary psychology to account of sex differences in infidelity distress, it is challenged to explain the repeated finding that a large number of men do not select sexual infidelity as more distressing than emotional infidelity. The goal of the current research was to provide support for an evolutionary psychology perspective that views the brain as a modular device. According to this viewpoint, the brain is thought to have evolved to use information from the environment and the body to regulate behavior and bodily functions. The present research utilized a cognitive dissonance paradigm to evaluate the validity of the theory that sexual jealousy is an evolved, sex-linked psychological mechanism and that the reactions of men and wmoen differ. The present study examined the relationship between self-esteem and media preference for engaging in social networking. The purpose of this study was to examine self-esteem as a predictor of media preferences for engaging in social networking in a work-based content. While networking relationships have the potential to benefit one's social and personal life, the focus of the present study is on developing relationships to build social capital and advance one's career. The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in caregiver burden and use of coping strategies by gender, ethnicity, relationship to the care-receiver, type of diagnosis and length of caregiving responsibilities. Quantitative data was obtained through a sample survey of 55 random caregivers served by Inland Caregiver Resource Center (ICRC). The study shows the need for agencies to develop education classes and workshops which are based upon different coping strategies as well as caregiver support groups.

Student employees (N=86) at a major research institution participated in a new hire orientation training and then responded to questionnaires measuring ten transfer behaviors and eight work environment constructs measuring support, frequency of contact, cohesion, and general means efficacy.
