There are thousands of children who run away from their homes each year for a variety of reasons. These children involved themselves in risky behaviors to survive while on the streets. This has been an ongoing problem that many have tried to alleviate by providing- different types of resources throughout the United States. This study will explore the effects of self-regulation and the tendency to commit to or refrain from creative projects. The relationship between one's feelings of creative achievement and motivation to pursue creative activities will also be investigated. A total of 274 students of California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) were recruited from lower division and upper division psychology courses. Participants rated 12 questions regarding their creative identity on a 4 point scale.

This study attempted to assess and explore the attitudes of African immigrants towards HIV testing and seeking HIV services in the U.S. The pool of HIV/AIDS cases among blacks at risk in the United States does not clearly distinguish between African Americans and Black African immigrants in regard to attitudes on HIV testing. A closer exploration of African immigrants as specific black sub-groups within the larger group of blacks or African Americans infected with HIV may help distinguish and explain the increase in incidents and high risk behaviors among blacks.

This study explored some of the primary reasons why immigrant Hispanic women are victims of abuse, along with various barriers they faced, and the ways in which they coped. The influence of the Hispanic culture is a driving force in the women's inability to move away from their abusers, to seek help, and to obtain the necessary help. Hispanic cultural attitudes and the perceptions of these victimized immigrant women affected their help-seeking behaviors.

The study used individual survey methods to collect its data. Participants for this study were recruited from paid employees of Catholic Charities of San Bernardino and Riverside (CCSBR), one of the largest non-profit organizations in the Inland Empire. The purpose of this study was to investigate sexual assault disclosure reactions and psychological symptoms. It was predicted that negative disclosure reactions would be positively correlated with psychological symptoms and positive disclosure reactions would be negatively correlated with psychological symptoms. Participants include twenty-nine females who had previously experienced a sexual assault. Each participant filled out several on-line questionnaires.

This study is an examination of the ideologies present in the highest-grossing romantic comedy from each year in the past decade. Because romantic comedies feature prominent romantic relationships, repeated exposure to romantic comedies may influence audiences' perceptions of what romantic relationships should be like. People who are exposed to media content depicting romantic relationships may rely on those portrayals when they are either considering beginning a new romantic relationship, or evaluating a current romantic relationship.
