The University of Maine seeks nominations for the Maine Women’s Hall of Fame and the Maryann Hartman awards. Beginning in 2023, UMaine will partner with the Maine Women’s Hall of Fame to sustain our common tradition of honoring exceptional Maine women. We define ‘woman’ broadly so to include any person who lives life as a woman. We also define achievements broadly, and in recognition that much important work in and for Maine communities may lie outside traditional standards for achievement and across all walks of life. We hope to inspire nominations of candidates across a wide range of professions and …

Social Engineering is the name for a group of fraudulent activities that manipulate people into divulging personal information to dubious individuals or groups. The information is then used for criminal acts, causing a variety of difficulties for the victims. Although phishing is the most widely publicized, there are a number of ways these bad actors can psychologically manipulate us.

Landings content emphasizes science, history, resource sustainability, economic development, and human interest stories related to Maine's lobster industry. The newsletter emphasizes lobstering as a traditional, majority-European American lifeway with an economic and social heritage unique to the coast of Maine. The publication focuses how ongoing research to engage in sustainable, non-harmful, and non-wasteful commercial fishing practices benefit both the fishery and Maine's coastal legacy.

The Reversal Of Roe Vs. Wade And Its Effect On Contraception Access In The U.S., Jessica Dupler, Abby Enck
Non-Thesis Student Work
Over the past year, there has been a shift in the United States healthcare system following the Supreme Court overturning of Roe v. Wade. This shift has caused a burden to fall on contraceptive use across states that either prohibited abortion or permitted it. Wade impacted birth control access in U.S. states with limited abortion rights compared to U.S. states that do not limit abortions over the past year? A literature search was conducted on CINAHL, PubMed, and Google …
