The quality of life (QOL) of post-stroke patients can be assessed from the reports of patients themselves obtained through a structured interview or a questionnaire. However, some individuals are unable to comprehensively describe their QOL because of language disorders, cognitive effects caused by stroke, or pre-existing conditions. This study aims to identify differences in post-stroke QOL perception between patients and caregivers. A cross-sectional design involving 115 stroke patients and 115 caregivers was adopted, and Mann–Whitney test was used for statistical analysis. Results showed no significant difference in QOL perception (p = 0.166; α < 0.05), particularly in the physical (p = 0.278; α < 0.05), psychological (p = 0.068; α < 0.05), social relationship (p = 0.976; α < 0.05), and environmental (p = 0.157; α < 0.05) domains between patients and caregivers. Therefore, information from caregivers can be used to assess QOL when patients are incapable of reporting their condition.

This study aimed to explore the meaning of the lived experiences of young adults inside the prison system. Objective: This study explored the additive value of the multi-item EuroQol 5-Dimension 5-Level (EQ-5D-5L) as an outcome measure in health inequality analyses, relative to the single-item EuroQol visual analog scale (EQ VAS).

Methods: A sample comprising the general population from Italy, the Netherlands, and United Kingdom (UK) completed the EQ-5D-5L and the EQ VAS. Health workers are role models in preventing smoking behavior, yet many are smokers themselves. This study reviews and analyzes the smoking behavior of health workers in Asian countries, based on databases such as PubMed, EBSCO, and Google Scholar in 2013–2018. It is shown that the prevalence of smoking amongst health workers was 4.6–44%, with the nursing profession showing a higher level than other health professions and with a higher ratio of male to female smokers. This study examined breastfeeding practices and self-efficacy among mothers residing in rural areas. A cross-sectional study was conducted for 104 mothers via purposeful sampling in a Posyandu (maternal and child health service) in Kampar district, one of the rural areas in Riau, Indonesia. The Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale Short Form (BSES-SF) was used in the questionnaires to collect data. Chi-square test was used for bivariate analysis.
