Group therapy is an essential part of inpatient psychiatric treatment, with documented positive effects including better medication compliance, lower readmission rate, and improved self- esteem. Patients who are admitted for an inpatient psychiatric stay have a small window of time in which behavioral health staff can work with them. Group therapy can help patients develop a plan for these issues and provide a foundation for successful discharge and symptom management. Tort liability for failure to “age gate” is a promising legal response to the public health hazards of AI, social media, sports gambling, and other digital spaces. Tort liability for failure to “age gate” hinges liability for harms to minors on an app’s failure to take reasonable steps to prevent minors from gaining access or otherwise to apply appropriate governance rules, such as privacy-protective default settings or ensuring genuine parental consent. Lack of access to evidence-based care for drug addiction is an urgent problem amid a decades-long overdose crisis that kills tens of thousands of Americans a year. Opioid addiction is the primary driver of overdoses today, and medicines exist to treat such addiction that can dramatically improve quality of life while reducing the risk of deadly overdose by more than half. Yet fewer than one in four of the nine million Americans who need such evidence-based medical care for their addiction receive it. การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงพรรณนาแบบตัดขวาง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสุขภาพจิตของพระภิกษุในจังหวัดกรุงเทพมหานคร ประกอบด้วยภาวะซึมเศร้า ภาวะวิตกกังวล ภาวะเครียด และการรับรู้ความรู้สึกมีคุณค่าในตนเอง ปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสุขภาพจิต และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสุขภาพจิตและการรับรู้ความรู้สึกมีคุณค่าในตนเอง กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ พระภิกษุจํานวน 390 รูป ซึ่งได้รับการสุ่มแบบหลายขั้นตอน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บข้อมูล ประกอบด้วย แบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล แบบสอบถามการรับรู้ความรู้สึกมีคุณค่าในตนเอง (Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale: RSES-TR-10 ฉบับภาษาไทย) และแบบประเมินภาวะซึมเศร้า ภาวะวิตกกังวล และภาวะเครียด (Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale: DASS-21 ฉบับภาษาไทย) การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนาได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่ามัธยฐาน ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่าพิสัยควอไทล์ สถิติเชิงอนุมาน ได้แก่ Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis test, Spearman’s rank correlation และ Multiple stepwise regression analysis ผลการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลพบว่ากลุ่มตัวอย่างส่วนใหญ่มีการรับรู้ความรู้สึกมีคุณค่าในตนเองระดับสูง (ร้อยละ 72.3) มีคะแนนเฉลี่ย 31.36 (ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน 4.51) และค่ามัธยฐาน 30 (ค่าพิสัยควอไทล์ 29-34) ภาวะซึมเศร้าอยู่ในระดับปกติ (ร้อยละ 73.6) มีคะแนนเฉลี่ย 3.15 (ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน 2.94) และค่ามัธยฐาน 3 (ค่าพิสัยควอไทล์ 1-5) ภาวะวิตกกังวลอยู่ในระดับปกติ (ร้อยละ56.4) มีคะแนนเฉลี่ย 3.54 (ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน 2.80) และค่ามัธยฐาน 3 (ค่าพิสัยควอไทล์ 1-5) และภาวะเครียดอยู่ในระดับปกติ (ร้อยละ86.4) มีคะแนนเฉลี่ย 4.63 (ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน 3.00) และค่ามัธยฐาน 5 (ค่าพิสัยควอไทล์ 2-6) ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับภาวะซึมเศร้า ภาวะวิตกกังวล …

The purpose of this study was to assess dental hygienists' practices regarding anxiety-reducing techniques, their attitudes towards managing patients with dental anxiety, and the extent of their training on the topic. To collect data, an adaptation of the existing survey from the UNC Department of Dental Ecology Survey, was distributed to licensed dental hygienists. The findings of the research questions were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of frequencies and percentages. Nicotine use disorder (NUD) remains a leading cause of preventable disease, yet the neurobiological mechanisms underlying nicotine withdrawal are incompletely understood. Emerging evidence implicates neuroimmune signaling and astrocytic regulation of glutamate in shaping the withdrawal-associated affective phenotype. This dissertation investigated these processes using multiple nicotine administration paradigms including osmotic minipump implant, cigarette smoke exposure, and nicotine vapor inhalation to model diverse routes of human nicotine intake.

The molecular mechanisms underlying failed quit attempts continue to represent a critical gap in our knowledge. However, recent advances in understanding the genetic contributions to nicotine dependence offer a promising avenue for developing more effective cessation therapies. The study explored potential dementia indicators and risk factors among older adults residing in rural areas who are actively engaged in farming operations. Data was collected in three components a questionnaire, an audiogram test, and a memory impairment screening. 104 people responded to the questionnaire, 133 participants took the audiogram test, and 94 participated in the memory impairment screening. The findings revealed that 80.9% of participants showed no sign of cognitive impairment while 19.1% showed signs of possible impairment. Participants reported moderate levels of physical and social activity, but common risk factors such as elevated BMI, diabetes, hearing loss, and …

Black college student outcomes are well researched areas in education literature. This dissertation sought to explore the influence of academic and ethnic racial socialization on experiences of shame and guilt and examine the association of those relationships on Black college student retention and persistence. This study employed an explanatory sequential mixed methods design to investigate the socialization experiences of 272 Black college students in the US. Conditional process model analyses revealed that academic socialization is associated with experiences of guilt and shame—guilt predicted improved retention outcomes, while shame predicted lower retention outcomes.
