This report presents the results of a demographic study conducted by the Portland State University Population Research Center (PRC) for the Forest Grove School District (FGSD). The study includes analyses of population, housing and enrollment trends affecting the District in recent years, discussion of recent and current housing development, and forecasts of district‐wide and individual school enrollments for the 2022‐23 to 2031‐32 school years. District‐wide high, middle, and low forecasts for 2022‐23 differ by how many how many of the students who left FGSD schools during the COVID‐19 pandemic will return. This report presents forecasts of district‐wide and individual school enrollments for the Forest Grove School District (FGSD) for the 10 year period between 2019‐20 and 2028‐29. Three districtwide forecast scenarios correspond to population forecasts incorporating different assumptions about growth within the District, with the primary differences being the contribution of net migration to the District’s population and age distribution. Individual school forecasts consistent with the middle series are also presented for the 10 year period.

This report presents a series of three scenarios of district-wide enrollment forecasts by grade level for the Forest Grove School District (FGSD) for the 10 year period between 2016-17 and 2025-26. Each enrollment forecast scenario is related to population forecasts that incorporate different assumptions about growth within the District, with the primary differences being the contribution of net migration to the District’s population and age distribution. Individual school forecasts consistent with the middle series scenario are also presented for the 10 year period.

The Forest Grove School District (FGSD) enrolled 6,102 students in Fall 2006, an increase of 175 students (3.0 percent) from Fall 2005. Growth was concentrated in the high school grades (9-12), which grew by 101 students (5.5 percent), and elementary grades, which gained 66 students (2.9 percent) between Fall 2005 and Fall 2006.
