Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan pengaruh antara metode latihan blok dan metode latihan acak terhadap keterampilan passing bola voli atlet yunior putri, (2) tingkat koordinasi antara koordinasi tinggi dan koordinasi rendah terhadap keterampilan passing bola voli atlet yunior putri, (3) interaksi antara metode latihan blok dan metode latihan acak dengan tingkat koordinasi tinggi dan rendah terhadap keterampilan passing bola voli atlet yunior putri. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah atlet yunior putri Klub Bola Voli Yuso Sleman dan Klub Bola Voli Yuso Gunadarma dengan jumlah keseluruhan 50 atlet. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian R and D (Research and Development). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bakat siswa sekolah dasar (SD) pada cabang olahraga panahan di Kabupaten Manokwari. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SD negeri dan swasta di Kabupaten Manokwari. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria: (1) SD negeri dan swasta unggulan (panahan), (2) siswa yang mengikuti program pembinaan panahan Indosat, (3) sampel berjumlah 160 anak yang terdiri dari 80 laki-laki dan 80 anak perempuan, (4) siswa yang bersedia menjadi sampel dengan mengisi surat pernyataan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan: (1) tes keterampilan olahraga woodball untuk pemula yang valid, (2) mengembangkan tes keterampilan olahraga woodball untuk pemula yang reliabel, dan (3) norma penilaian tes keterampilan olahraga woodball untuk pemula. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini terdiri dari enam langkah kegiatan, yaitu: identifikasi kebutuhan, analisis pengembangan produk, menulis tujuan kinerja, mengembangkan instrumen penilaian, merancang dan mengevaluasi produk, serta merevisi produk. At the time many, including myself, feared that the NFL would defang the bite of the film. It did not. ESPN reported this week that the NFL had pulled funding for concussion research because one of the principal researchers was Dr. Robert Stern of Boston University who has been critical of the NFL. The grant was awarded by the National Institute of Health(NIH) and the NFL denied pulling out of the grant saying that the NIH made all funding decisions and that the NFL has no veto power over the use of the $30M it had donated to the NIH in 2012 with no strings attached. In a recent analysis of the money flow in intercollegiate football, The Washington Post, laid out in considerable detail the not so surprising conclusion that revenue at the Power Five Conferences has increased dramatically over the past decade, while spending has exceeded the growth of revenue. Nationally between 2004 and 2014 some 48 athletic departments increased their income from $2.67B to $4.49B. Despite the apparent windfall 25 of those departments ran a deficit in 2014, and two of them, Auburn and Rutgers, lost more money in 2014 than they did in 2004.

This impact was influenced by the additional consideration organizations have paid to the role of spectator attendance within professional sports. The purpose of this study was to examine the best practices for spectator attendance strategies employed by recent MLS expansion franchises. In an attempt to demonstrate the interconnecting nature of the pillars of sport (Hacker, 2000) this thesis explores the relationship between physical, psychological and technical variables. Five National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Women’s Soccer players were analyzed in four conference matches. The athlete's rate of perceived exertion (RPE) values were correlated to pass completion percentages (PC%) to investigate the potential effect that psychological satisfaction or dissatisfaction of technical performance has on perceived exertion ratings. Differences in athletic identity and career maturity were also investigated based on a women’s basketball student-athlete’s level of competition, race, year in school, socioeconomic status, and professional athletic career aspirations. As elite athletes are moving to foreign countries more than ever before, many experience acculturation difficulties that may affect their performance. Since research on these acculturation experiences is limited, this study explores the acculturation process of foreign athletes to top level sports teams and the host culture in the United States. In the course of a javelin throw the main goal is to develop the greatest possible javelin velocity before release. Although how this is accomplished hardly matters, for most throwers, sound biomechanical execution will produce the best performance. A discussion about javelin velocity will necessarily involve a discussion about rhythm which is of paramount in developing maximum velocity under control, both during the run up and the transition phases. The run up and the transition should be one smooth, rhythmical activity ordinarily consisting of thirteen or fifteen steps. The transition phase includes the javelin withdrawal which usually occurs during the …
