Mississippi House Bill 1125 (MS HB1125), also known as the “Regulate Experimental Adolescent Procedures (REAP) Act,” was signed into law by Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves in early 2023 (REAP Act, 2023). It is one of multiple policies passed into law that limit the rights of transgender people. This thesis aims to clarify the history of the trans community, dispel myths around gender-affirming health care and the trans identity, and discuss the current state of anti-trans laws and transgender rights. Home Safe is a housing program designed to provide permanent, affordable, supportive housing for women and children escaping domestic violence. The project is guided by evidence-based practice for serving this vulnerable population most effectively. This program is also guided by the NASW Code of Ethics. Guiding theoretical orientations include conflict theory and feminist theory. A basic description of the Home Share program is provided along with a discussion about program evaluation techniques and Home Share’s strategies for eliminating housing barriers for women and children escaping domestic violence. The purpose of this study was to explore what organizational factors increase or decrease role ambiguity amongst school social workers. This study attempted to provide practical information for schools on the influence of specific organizational factors on role ambiguity so that they can provide a supportive work environment for school social workers and students. A cross-sectional survey design was used to provide a snapshot of the current organizational factors impacting the ambiguity of school social work roles from a sample of 73 members of the School Social Work Association of America.
