The study examined minority persons’ views and experiences with Child Protective Services (CPS) in the community. This study used a qualitative design with face‑to‑face interviews with 12 participants in the community. This study used the “Post‑Positivist” data analysis, which is qualitative in evaluation and explained each participant’s subjective reality.

The study found that most participants were satisfied with the results and were dissatisfied with the process in and of itself. Exploring The Unique Experiences Of Biological Children In A Foster Family, Alana Marsh

:The purpose of the following research was to identify the experiences and needs of biological children in a foster family. An online survey was sent to licensed foster families from a private agency. The survey included questions about the experiences, both positive and negative, of biological children before foster youth enter the home, during their stay, and after they exit the home. Analysis of 21 survey answers and thorough review of literature indicated significant lack of available resources for foster parents to utilize when preparing their biological children for this family change. This study examines how introversion, family communication patterns (FCP), and modified communication behaviors relate to perceived levels of social self-efficacy and family satisfaction. Participants (N = 359) were undergraduate students at a large Midwestern urban university. The proposed causal model suggests conversation and conformity levels within a FCP impact whether families employ facilitative or inhibitive communication modification behaviors in interactions with an introverted family member. An Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method of estimation was used to test the causal model through a comparison of the expected and actual correlation matrix. The research on siblings of individuals with disabilities has rarely addressed the perceived benefits of having a sibling with a disability. The existing research on the experience of siblings of persons with disabilities is also limited to European American families (Sage & Jegatheesan, 2010). With families from different cultures, I sought to capture the experiences of brothers and sisters who have siblings with disabilities.
