تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تقييم الدور الخارجي في ثورات الربيع العربي وكذلك انعكاسات هذا الدور على الأمن القومي العربي. وتنقسم الدراسة إلى ثلاثة أقسام رئيسة: في القسم الأول، تتناول الدراسة محدادت الربيع العربي. في القسم الثاني، تتناول الدراسة حدود التدخل الخارجي في الربيع العربي سواء في مرحلة ما قبل أو بعد اندلاع الثورات العربية. في القسم الثالث، تتناول الدراسة انعكاسات التدخل الخارجي على الأمن القومي العربي.

Talking to reporters after the conclusion of the G20 meeting, the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, declared that any military intervention in Syria without UNSC authorization is an illegal act of aggression. He also said that his country will supply (sell, that is) the Syrian government with weapons to defend itself. This statement, in a sense, clarifies an earlier declaration by his foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, when he said that if the U.S. starts a war in Syria, Russia will not be part of it. Contemporary scholarship has shown that J. William Fulbright's defeat in 1974 was due to a plethora of reasons including his opposition to America's involvement in Vietnam, lackadaisical attitude towards the monolithic threat of Communism, connection to the Washington establishment amidst the Watergate scandal, and old age. Scholars, however, have not paid enough attention to the role Fulbright's Middle Eastern stances played in his final election campaign. China by forming voluminous trade links with energy-rich Middle Eastern and Caucasian states has made the economic geography around Turkey’s borders appealing more than ever. Peace has been the goal of many leaders throughout history, and recent democratic movements in the Middle East have made the first steps toward a democratic peace in the region. This paper compares the European experience of Germany and France in the transition to democracy with the recent developments in the Middle East through November 2012. The impact of democratic revolution in Egypt is compared with the government established in Iraq following the U.S. invasion.
