Purpose: The purpose of this phenomenological research study was to describe the behaviors that exemplary middle school principals practice to lead their organization through conversations using Groysberg and Slind’s (2012) four elements of conversational leadership: intimacy, interactivity, inclusion, and intentionality.
Methodology: This phenomenological qualitative study described the lived experiences of exemplary middle school principals in Orange County, California. The researcher was part of a thematic research team of 12 peer researchers and 4 faculty advisors. Through purposeful sampling, the researcher selected 10 exemplary middle school principals who met at least 4 of 6 criteria identifying someone as exemplary. Data collection …

A partir del siglo XVIII, ha sido una migración criolla hacia el Delta de Paraná, Argentina, lo que representa una zona de humedal, situada en el delta del río de la Plata. Principalmente a partir del siglo XIX comenzó una serie de procesos para formar lo que se refiere a la “identidad isleño,” lo que implica un estilo fuertemente conectada con los procesos ecosistémicos del humedal, y viviendo de la tierra para la sobrevivencia: actividades que incluyen el junco, la pesca, y el cultivo de frutas entre otros. Are business faculty complicit in mythologizing business concepts by ignoring historical precedence?
The refusal to examine in totality the history of discrimination and racism allows us to perpetuate a mythology of white supremacy that is enhanced through impotent diversity programs repeated throughout corporate America. This paper examines the importance of demythologizing the business curriculum through symptomatic thinking, which allows faculty and students to untangle the quagmire of diversity and inclusion in corporate America. Students are thereby equipped with tools for behavior transformation in the workplace that uses a symptomatic, rather than symbolic approach, to decision making and problem solving.
