La aparición y difusión de nuevas tecnologías con redes públicas de internet han permitido un amplio acceso de las poblaciones a la información y al conocimiento. Sin embargo, hay que preguntarse si esto se da en condiciones de igualdad y universalidad. Desde la UNESCO es claro que debe caminarse en la senda de desarrollo humano y sostenible. Así, las sociedades del conocimiento se deben apoyar en “la libertad de expresión, el acceso universal a la información y al conocimiento, el respeto a la diversidad cultural y lingüística, y una educación de calidad para todos”.

Covid-19 And Early Childhood Workforce Emotional Well-Being: An Exploratory Investigation, Mark Nagasawa

This conference paper was presented at the 2021 meeting of the American Educational Research Association. It shares findings from a mixed method, exploratory study that sought to understand how New York State's early childhood (ECE) workforce was faring early in the COVID-19 pandemic (n=3,555). This was a project of the New York City Early Childhood Research Network, a research practitioner partnership organized to create evidence-informed early childhood public policy. Among the key findings were high levels of reported stress, for instance those working remotely were approximately one-and-a-half times more likely to rate their emotional well-being negatively than those whose settings …

In Summer of 2020, the University of South Dakota worked with the Post-Landfill Action Network (PLAN) to support Anna Moore, the Campus Recycling Coordinator and a graduate student in the Department of Sustainability & Environment, to conduct a holistic assessment of the campus’ waste management system. Anna used PLAN’s Zero Waste Atlas Program, a program designed to help campuses assess and streamline campus systems for materials management, to collect the information used to inform this report.
