The construction of scientific papers is performed in service of the greater scientific community. This iterative process is, in effect, an academic economy, where all members benefit from well-written papers. However, many published scientific papers are poorly written; they often lack sufficient detail to allow replication, there is improper usage of citations or a lack of regard to relevant work, reporting is vague or without linked empirical data to allow verification, figures do not correspond to text or are non-sensical, literary elements, e.g., bulleted lists, are used ineffectively, formatting renders certain sections unreadable, and grammatical errors abound. When performing survey research it is normal to collect descriptive information such as income, gender, highest education attainment, and others. This information is used to categorize the collected research responses into groups. This nominal or ordinal data may also be used to find patterns in the collected data and suggest relationships. Kentucky newspapers are a valuable research option with many articles about the history of the state, as well as national and international news. This presentation was brief overview of the Kentucky Newspaper Digital Program [KDNP] and its development over many years. KDNP provides patrons access to the hundreds of Kentucky newspaper titles. Many of these titles are available full-text online via the University of Kentucky Library catalog. The weekly history vignettes are based on Kentucky newspaper articles and cover a wide range of topics. They are online at the KDNP Facebook site.

This paper aims to gauge the impact of internet blockade on the research students pursuing research in Kashmir post abrogation of article 370 of Indian constitution that granted political autonomy to erstwhile state of Jammu & Kashmir. The aim of this study was to investigate whether exposure and usage of social media sites (Instagram and Pinterest) were related to eating disorder behaviors and attitudes. A sample of female undergraduate students at La Salle University completed an online survey which measured social media exposure, media manipulation, and thoughts and behaviors related to eating disorders.

Recent years have seen a trend toward the inclusion and heightened valuing of research questions in competitive Rhetorical Criticism (Communication Analysis). The inclusion of this content element is quite a new phenomenon on the national-level competitive circuit. In fact, the absence of such research questions in competitive speeches was highlighted by Ott as recently as 1998.
