This study was focused on learning what impact, if any, the spiritual maturity of the leaders of small evangelical faith-based nonprofit organizations (SEFNO) had on their organizational health. The purpose of this multi-case mixed-methods study was to understand and assess the spiritual maturity level of a leader, to find what influence, if any, it had in the management of the SEFNO and in the organization’s health, and to understand how important the participants in the organization viewed the leader’s spiritual maturity regarding its health considering a recent crisis. A Qualitative Exploration Of Formation And Change In Attachment To God, Virginia Watson Cashion

This study consisted of a phenomenological exploration of the lived experience of individuals who identify as Christians, examined within the context of attachment to God. Eleven Ph.D. students enrolled in an online program at an evangelical institution in the southeastern United States were interviewed. The interviews were conducted online, recorded (audio and video), and transcribed within the MS Teams app. Data was analyzed, codes were established, and themes were identified. Analysis revealed that while one’s relationship with God was meaningful and secure, all indicated the presence of seeking (greater connection to God) language. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to explore the lived experience of stress and stress-coping of five Michigan pastors who led their Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) congregations through the 2020-21 COVID-19 pandemic. Stress is generally defined as the psychophysiological response to a perceived threat or stressor, and stress-coping is generally defined as intentional behaviors designed to manage stress. The COVID-19 pandemic negatively affected countries around the world. Travel became restricted as countries around the world tried to control the pandemic. The global economy was also negatively affected. Nonetheless, many countries around the world took measures to control the economy and have successfully reduced the number of cases and the negative impact of COVID-19. This is not so with other countries such as Yemen, who is currently facing a humanitarian crisis that has greatly weakened their ability to respond to the pandemic.
