As part of a textbook affordability initiative, the University of Central Florida Libraries sought ways to inform students that hundreds of required textbooks are available for free as library eTextbooks. When other methods did not include necessary information such as a link to the eTextbook or other details, a secondary method was investigated: creating an eTextbook Portal. An eTextbook Portal serves as a searchable webpage to help students locate eTextbooks that match their courses. This presentation was part of UCF's Faculty Center for Teaching & Learning's 2022 Summer Conference. Description: This session will focus on curriculum mapping from a library perspective and highlights several practical applications in course development. Topics will include how to integrate library resources to support textbook affordability and learning outcomes, strategies to ensure that students obtain skills necessary to leverage library databases, and courses to target in order to ensure teaching research through course assignments.
