ABSTRACT

The study investigated users’ satisfaction with library facilities and the attitude of staff in the national library of Cross River State, Nigeria, was the focus of this investigation. The survey research design was adopted and the population of the study was five thousand five hundred and forty, while a sample of five hundred and fifty-four users of the national library were selected through random sampling technique and used for the study. The reliability value obtained instrument was established through the split-half reliability method. Population t-test was the statistical analysis technique was adopted for the study. Ouachita Baptist University named Tara Pritchard, assistant to the dean in the Sutton School of Social Sciences, as the 2020-2021 Support Staff Member of the Year. University Staff: Indigenous Sovereignty And Justice Online, Star Berry

United States (U.S.) public research universities generally deliver problematic diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts that erase Indigenous, Transgender, and Disabled staff through online formats and representations. This qualitative explanatory study describes the DEI common language as one of compliance, erasure, and management through a review of 17 high and very high research universities as defined by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education®. Of these universities, seven are also land grant universities. The frameworks applied include Indigenous Feminist Theory (Waterman, 2018) and Intersectionality (Crenshaw, 1991). There is ample research about immigrant students’ experiences in the school system (Womach, 2020), as well as the impact of trauma on learning (Gerrish, 2020), however there is limited research that reports on the experiences of school staff and what their needs are in order to best support immigrant students. The present study utilizes qualitative research methods to explore the experiences of school staff who engage with immigrant students who have experienced trauma.
