The paper examined librarian’s use of social media platforms in promoting effective library service delivery in Edo and Delta States. The study adopted descriptive survey design. The population of the study comprised of 71librarians from twelve university libraries. Three (3) research questions guided this study. Data was collected using online questionnaire. A structured questionnaire was administered on the 500Level students, in the various Departments of the two Faculties, namely: Agriculture and Engineering Students at Ikole Campus of the University (FUOYE), to ascertain their perception of their Faculty Libraries. The assumption is that these set of students are already acquainted with the Library as they have being in the University for a minimum of three unbroken sessions. Research consultations are a valuable service offered by academic libraries for students who are able to visit the library, however, many students enrolled in online degree programs or considering enrollment have limited access to campus services. We designed and tested a virtual reference consultation service for distance learners and graduate students. This interactive poster outlines a practical approach for designing and initiating a virtual research consultation service to offer equitable access to library services and a positive user experience for distance learners.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the status of East Azerbaijan Public Libraries' services to the users with disabilities. The population of the study consisted of 80 managers and supervisors of public libraries in East Azerbaijan province, Iran. A researcher-made questionnaire, inspired by the American Library Association checklist and the library access checklist (by IFLA) has been used for data gathering. Findings revealed that most of the public libraries in East Azerbaijan province (56.9%) lack sufficient budget for serving the disabled. A survey based study was undertaken in selected College libraries in Jorhat District of Assam, India to find out the current status of services and resources for the patrons with disabilities. A structured questionnaire was used to collect information from the librarians of the Colleges under the study. Convenience sampling method was used to select the libraries to be part of the study.
