This study evaluated the influence of indigene-ship and interpersonal relationship on employment of staff in selected federal university libraries in South-West, Nigeria. The selected libraries are the Hezekiah Olowsanmi Library of Obafemi Awolowo Univesity, Ile-Ife and Kenneth Dike library of the University of Ibadan. Two research objectives and two hypotheses were raised to guide the study. The ex-post facto research design was adopted, while census sampling technique was employed. The population comprised all the 143 professional and para-professional librarians in the libraries under study. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. In 1864, the same year the University of Denver was founded by John Evans, then the Territorial Governor of Colorado and the Superintendent of Indian Affairs, a group of U.S. militia attacked and killed vulnerable members of the Cheyenne and Arapaho nations at Sand Creek. Using Critical Race Theory and the feminist “ethic of care,” we critique our collections in terms of the Massacre and absent Native American voices, in order to develop a collecting philosophy and direction to acknowledge and address the gaps, and to formulate strategies for teaching students to interrogate a predominately white institutional archive to give …

The study investigated issues in acquisition and application of conventional and online complementary cataloguing competencies in Nigerian university libraries with a view to proffering appropriate solution. Five research questions guided the work. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The population of the study comprised 168 librarians drawn from six university libraries. The universities used for the study were: University of Ife, University of Ibadan, University of Benin, University of Lagos, University of Port Harcourt and University of Nigeria.
