The Value Of Life: Explaining High Spending On End Of Life Care, Marie R. Veillette

This article examines literature published regarding insurance and end of life care and combines it into one, comprehensive overview of the state of unprecedented spending on healthcare, specifically, terminal care treatments. This focus allows for an examination of particular areas of causation of high medical spending at the end of life and provides some insight for solutions of how to curb this spending. The article also addresses the need to be mindful that these solutions do not compromise quality or equity of care to patients.

This Response to Professors Levin, Jacobs, and Arora’s article To Accommodate or Not to Accommodate: (When) Should the State Regulate Religion to Protect the Rights of Children and Third Parties? focuses on their claim that the law governing religious exemptions to medical neglect is messy, unprincipled, and in need of reform, including because it violates the Establishment Clause. I disagree with this assessment and provide support for my position. Health Care Limitations Available To Transgender Teenagers: A Systematic Review Of The Literature, Yessenia Madrigal, Michael Curtis

This systematic review of literature explores the current academic literature that is available in regards to transgender teenagers, their healthcare options and the services that are available to these teenagers and any obstacles they face when seeking and obtaining healthcare services. This review specifically focuses on transgender teenagers and their family’s experiences and the lack of support given to them at different levels in different healthcare facilities.
