Not only the basic systems of counting are considered but, also, the recording devices, the words used for basic numbers with their concrete meanings, "magic" or "pattern" numbers and their relationship, if any, to the system of numeration. I do not and cannot hope to present a full grammar of a highly complex linguistic system.
