Vitriolage is a form of widespread violence around the world. This research analyzed legislative measures against the practice adopted by India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Colombia, and Cambodia. The strengths and weaknesses of the different legal systems were examined. Motivational trends on why the violence was committed were reviewed in the literature in these countries. It was found that acid attacks are a form of gender-based violence. Countries where the measures were adopted to prevent attacks but failed to achieve the goal did not consider the attacks as a part of a broader problem. Research Aims: Expand the insights for social enterprises (SEs) to sustain their economic and social performance, considering the impact of leader’s motivation, entrepreneurial leadership, organisational agility, and competitive advantage.

Design/Methodology/Approach: The dataset was obtained from a survey of 102 SE strategic leaders in Indonesia, which was processed using PLS and SEM to test the hypothesis.

Research Findings: Motivation has a positive effect on entrepreneurial leadership but not on organisational agility. Entrepreneurial leadership has tridirectionally relationships with organisational agility, competitive advantage, and social firm performance. Organisational agility has bidirectional relationships with competitive advantage and economic firm performance, whereas competitive advantage only …

Motives to drink have been identified as the most proximal factor to alcohol consumption.The aim of this study is to assess the validity of a culturally modified Drinking Motives Questionnaire-Revised (DMQ-R) (Cooper, 1994) with Aboriginal participants. The study was cross sectional, utilising data collected via face-to-face surveys with a sample of adult Aboriginal participants. A convenience sample of 135 Aboriginal men (n=41) and women (n=94) from the Pilbara Region of Western Australia, who had consumed alcohol in the preceding 12 months. The primary purpose of the current study was to give “voice” to college athletes regarding their views on academics. Given their perspectives, means of promoting their academic achievement were suggested. Research describing athletes’ experiences and the impact of socio-emotional stressors on academic success, especially for those not at a Division I school, is needed. Therefore, a qualitative study exploring the academic experiences of college athletes was conducted. Twelve focus groups of college athletes (N = 62) from six teams were held. Research is an important component in counselor preparation. However, students often are not motivated in taking the research course. The author explores and applies the Self-Determination Theory (SDT; Ryan & Deci, 2000) to teaching the research and evaluation course. Self-Determination Theory posits that student will be autonomously motivated to learn when basic needs of autonomy, relatedness, and competence are present in the classroom. Strategies to increase all three basic needs are discussed in this paper.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was based on false premises, faulty assumptions, and a weak strategy. As the conflict has unfolded, heavy losses have imposed a strain on available Russian manpower. The Russian army reached a culminating point outside Kyiv and has exhibited little sign of operational learning. By contrast, Ukrainians have fought an existential war, making good use of dispersed light infantry tactics with high motivation levels. Western support has allowed them to compensate for their deficiencies in armaments and munitions. This commentary also shows military and policy leaders how the political context continues to impose limitations on the Ukrainians.

UF/IFAS Extension launched a long-term strategic planning process in 2019 to create positive change within the organization and within Florida. Conducting an internal needs assessment was prioritized as an important component of the planning process to address concerns that the previous strategic plan did not sufficiently focus on the organization’s needs, especially faculty needs. So, this study was conducted in 2020 to determine UF/IFAS Extension faculty’s perceptions of selected hygiene factors associated with workplace motivation. Background: The purpose of this study was to examine the self-regulation strategies used by men and women attending to fitness clubs and how they are related to the level of participants’ physical activity. Material/Methods: The participants of the study were 200 persons attending fitness clubs, including 108 women (54%) and 92 men (46%), aged 17-63 years, mean 29.18 ±9.16 years. The questionnaire measuring self-regulation strategies: goal-setting, self-monitoring, enlisting social support, self-rewarding and stimulus control were used along with Godin Leisure-Time Exercise Questionnaire assessing physical activity. Background: ‪As physical activity, health, and the quality of life are strongly related. Leisure habits of students of the University of Debrecen, Hungary, were assessed in a recent survey. The survey used both online and offline (written) questionnaires. In the survey sport was defined as a physical activity outside of compulsory Physical Education (PE) classes that lasts for at least half an hour. Value orientations, based on Schwartz’s theory of human values, were collected from low-income, high-ability middle school students (N = 215; 87.4% Black, Hispanic, or Mixed) through a values affirmation activity in the 7^th and again in the 8^th grade. Students ranked “Being successful” highest in 7^th grade, “Being safe and secure” highest in 8^thgrade. Most important values in the Conservation and Self-Transcendent quadrants predominated and were most stable from 7^th to 8^th grade.
