Imitative behavior of a parent-surrogate and a sibling model by second-born children from M1-M2, M1-F2, F1-M2, and F1-F2 dyads was assessed in an observational learning paradigm. Children, five- to seven-years of age from two-child families, observed an adult male or female parent-surrogate model, and an older brother or sister play three games – dart through, gold putt, and ring toss. After observing an assigned adult model and a sibling model, the children played each of the three games and his reproduction of verbal, postural, and motor responses of the models was scored.
