The foreign aid system today is broken. Developing countries should seek to experiment with new strategies to alleviate poverty. This thesis focuses specifically on the development of Tanzania as an example for East Africa. The population in East Africa is growing at an alarming rate, yet most live on less than $1.10 a day. How can African countries prepare for such a rapid increase in population growth?
