This study investigated the level of information literacy skills and use of EIRs by undergraduates in the Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa state, Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive research design and questionnaire as a data collection instrument. From a population of 3043 undergraduates, a multi-stage random technique was used to select a sample size of 242 undergraduates for the study. The results indicated that 131 (51.4%) of the respondents “Strongly agreed” that they use the Internet in the course of their stay at the university. The purpose of this pilot study is to discover how academic instruction librarians discuss the concept of information literacy with faculty colleagues outside the library and information science field; how they negotiate shared meanings of the term; and what pedagogical actions result from these conversations. The purpose of this study was to find out students’ perceptions of the information literacy intervention programme at two Universities in a developing country. The study adopted a survey research method in which both questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were used to gather data about how students perceived information literacy in relation to its contribution to improved academic performance. Results show that students perceived information literacy as very relevant to their academic success. This paper intended to provide and critical and analytical review of research on workplace information literacy published form South-Asia with a view to inform policy and practice. Library, Information Science and Technological Abstracts (LISTA) was searched to identify the key studies published in the proposed research area using multiple keywords. The descriptive research design was employed for this study and the population consisted of polytechnic students from The Polytechnic, Ibadan and Federal Polytechnic, Ede.
