The present study deals with the assessment of Indian optics research output as reflected in Web of Science (WOS) database for the period 2008 to 2018 for identifying the research output in the field of optics literature. It also provides a comparative evaluation and performance of different types of scientometric indicators, such as number of publications, number of citations and collaboration from India. The Indian optics research has increased exponentially over the last decade.

This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of the authorship pattern in the field of Ebola covered in the bibliographic database namely MEDLINE which covered in Pubmed for the period 1995-2014. MEDLINE covered the maximum of 2519 records during the study period i.e. 1995 to 2014. More than 52.75% of the total contributions represent collaborative research. Abstract

The study is a survey of librarians’ perception towards collaborative research in South Eastern Nigeria. Four research questions guided the study, the study adopted descriptive survey method. The population of the study consists of 242 librarians in federal and state university in South East Nigeria. The instrument for data collection was questionnaire, the data collected was analysed using percentages and bar chart. This study highlights the publication analysis in nanotechnology research outputs in global level as identified the data in Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection database, Thomson Reuters, Philadelphia, USA. It is found that a total output of worldwide scholarly communications in the field of nanotechnology is 20825 during the period between 1989 and 2014. The maximum numbers of outputs of 7269 records (34.91 %) were published by USA which is placed in the first rank. The present work is a bibliometric analysis of a leading journal in Palaeobotany and Palynology, ‘Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology’. The study, based on Web of Science TM as the tool reveals that 1821 authors have contributed 903 papers during the years 2003 to 2012. Our analysis includes the publications output, exponential growth rate, authorship patterns, collaborative co-efficient and prolific authors, country wise and organization-wise distribution of contributions.

The study reveals that multiple authorship with collaboration of three (25.47%) and two authors (25.36%) was dominant. The average degree of collaboration for study period was 0.87. The Collaborative Coefficient …
