Proficiency Of Information Professionals Working In The Government Engineering Colleges In Kerala, India: A Study, Shajihan K.P., Muthumari P

The study investigated the proficiency in human relation skill among the Information professionals working in the Government Engineering Colleges in Kerala. The study based on a questionnaire survey of Information professionals employed in the Government Engineering Colleges. The analysis revealed that the Information Professionals in the Government Engineering Colleges moderately good level in the human relation skill. All the professionals expressed positive attitudes towards keeping a good relationship with their clientele.

Knowledge sharing among students is perceived as one of the most convenient and effective way to obtain knowledge. Knowledge sharing among academics students enhances the ability to seek studies-related help from one another and facilitates achieving outcomes of collective learning. Therefore, this paper investigates the knowledge sharing behaviours and patterns of Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology Students of National Institute of Construction Technology, Uromi. The descriptive survey method was used. Questionnaire responses from 27 students were analysed to address questions related to how knowledge is shared between students and what motivates students to share knowledge. Emotions form a part of the individual variables that play a key role in the determination of information seeking behaviour of an individual. Anxiety and uncertainty characterize the initial phases of the process of searching for information. The affective indications of uncertainty, frustration, and confusion lead to vague and imprecise thoughts regarding a problem or topic.
