Digital Resource awareness was studied among Medical Deemed University Libraries students in Maharashtra. The study used a questionnaire to investigate four Medical Deemed University Libraries of Maharashtra. This study examines digital resource utilization, purpose, frequency, locality, and preference. The study indicated that Maharashtra Medical Deemed University Libraries users were moderately aware of digital medical resources and used them mainly for the education, Learning, and knowledge updating. Students use e-journals, standards, reports, patents, and trade reports. This survey explores how Maharashtra Medical Deemed University Libraries students use electronic resources.

The rationale of this report was to evaluate the current use of electronic resources among users of medical college libraries in Multan division. Moreover, mean variation about medical e-resources in respect of awareness, satisfaction, utilization and barriers with respondents’ gender trait were also explored. This short commentary introduces and discusses the “Library Philosophy and Practice (LPP) Phenomenon,” wherein a scholarly journal published in a developed country has an extremely large number of authors from developing countries, relative to the typical journal. Elements of journals that fit the LPP phenomenon are discussed, as well as what this phenomenon says about barriers to scholarly publishing for researchers from developing nations. Implications for journals that lack diverse authorship from developing nations are listed. This phenomenon may be studied in other disciplines to further illuminate divides in the scholarly realm.

Advancing Knowledge Sharing In Development Organisations: Barriers, Enablers And Strategies, Peter Gatiti

This paper aims to examine the obstacles and enablers of knowledge sharing in development organisations and determine how each factor affects knowledge sharing in different organisations. It also highlights strategies for successful deployment of knowledge sharing techniques.

The paper opted for a mixed-method approach with a sequential explanatory design. Data were collected using semi-structured questionnaires administered to development practitioners (n=331) and in-depth interviews with key informants (n=11).

The paper provides empirical insights on different knowledge sharing barriers and enablers encountered in development organisations. Overall, eight categories of knowledge sharing enablers emerged from the study. These include culture, strategy, reward system, …

This study aimed at elaborating barriers to publication perceived by doctoral (Ph.D.) students from Malaysian universities. We interviewed 7 Ph.D. students from 3 Malaysian universities. Besides, we also distributed a survey instrument to 125 participants who attended doctoral programs in 12 Malaysian universities. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the interview data. Meanwhile, descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA were applied for the survey data analysis. Ophthalmologists – Eye Doctors working in academic eye hospitals confront various barriers in their information use. The purpose of this study is to investigate the barriers of ophthalmologists in their information use.

Methodology:

The study design is cross sectional and convenience sampling method is adopted. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data. SPSS 18 PASW Statistical package was used for statistical analysis. Frequencies, percentages, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Factor Analysis, Wilcoxon signed rank test were used in the study.
